I waited so long for dear Chain Reaction to be released! And was I all happy? I was happy. But. Yes, BUT! I really did expect a different plot from what the actualy plot is about and here's what I defintly expected. Luis Fuentes, being the good Fuentes he is, is definitly 100% good boy. Until he meets Nikki Cruz, who is this bad ass chicas. And I "thought" that Nikki will be the one who's going to force Luis into the bad side. And Luis loving Nikkie agrees and lalala, you get the idea right? Did it turn out like that? No, instead it turned out like this, Luis Fuentes has always been sheltered from the gang violence that nearly destroyed his brothers’ lives. But that didn’t stop him from taking risks—whether he’s scaling a mountain in the Rockies or dreaming of a future as an astronaut, Luis can’t stop looking for the next thrill. Nikki Cruz lives her life by three rules—boys lie to get their way, don’t trust a boy who says “I love you,” and never date a boy from the south side of Fairfield. Her parents may be from Mexico, but as a doctor’s daughter, she has more in common with her north-side neighbors than the Latino Blood at her school. Then she meets Luis at Alex’s wedding, and suddenly, she’s tempted to break all her rules. Once again and for the last time, sorry for the copy-paste portion of the summary. It is because I'm overloaded with reviews to write and thankfully, this is the last one. Moving on with the review, I really thought that Luis is the angel and Nikki is the devil. Oh well, it didn't turned out like that but I am still satisfied with the plot. But, why did I rate it 4 stars instead of the good all 5 stars like the first two books? I just felt that it didn't really nailed it. They say that a series is as good as its first and last book, Perfect Chemistry is definitly a whistle-bait bomb and Rules of Attraction is just as good while sadly, and a huge crime I commited for saying this, did not end with a BANG. However, this book is seriously sexier and hotter than its predecessors. Compared to the two, this is more fast-paced a more sub-plots going on, with appearances from swoon-worthy guys, Alex and Carlos (who I missed a lot). The sub-plots does not overshadow the main plot. What's really great about this book is that it's really great to see ALL three HOT Fuentes brother reuntie and come full circle. One great happy family aren't they? Of course, the character are great. As always. Luis Fuentes, the suppose-to-be good boy but not really that good boy, he also has his bad traits (which is not really a bad thing) because I love bad boys. He's a still a smart boy and very precise. Not modest, sporty. Well, a more able to hit on girls? LOL. I mean, compared to his older brotheres, he definitly got the girl fast and easier. He's very relaxed and calm. Let's not forget Luis' leading lady, Nikki Cruz, who is the only leading lady that is not American throughout the series. She's vulnerable yet fierce. Determined. And a man-hater. (But of course, who can resist a Fuentes charm right?) I didn't really focus on her character much because I'm too focused on the Funetes. Tsk tsk. And I love to read about Ms. Peterson too. I miss her character as well. As well as Isa'd character. And if you read the epilouge of Perfect Chemistry, Paco! And the slight continuation of Brit and Alex, Kiara and Carlos' love story. How great is that? All in one book! I may not have acknowlege his character before but now I'm going to love Enrique's character. Stay tune for him in the book! The romance? Hot, sexy, sizzling, fierce and fiesty. This is easier and faster actually. Look at the cover? Didn't that spice you up? I've been looking forward to that scene for eternity, yet. Yes, yet. Oh well, let's just say it didn't turn out like how I imagined it. They're definitly one crazy happy happy and that's very much seen in the epilouge, which IMO, is it really needed? The epilouge does not really relate to Luis and Nikki's story. Yet to the Fuentes brothers as a whole. Oh well, I know and I'm really sad not being able to give this a perfect 5 star rating but nevertheless, I will definitly miss the Fuentes brothers. And I was kinda sad reading the epilouge, they're messed-up when they were teenagers but turned out to be such good and loving dads AND husbands. It's great to see them all together. My my, no more hotness to watch out for is there? I'd like to read about their kid's love lifes as well. x) The series is finish! Tears of joy has been shed! The Perfect Chemisty series, really do check out. You'll drool because of the Fuentes brothers. P.S. There's a certain twist in the story. It made me jaw drop. ^^
