Ben dönem romanlarının büyük bir hayranıyım ve bu onların hepsinin kraliçesi!
I loved the unique premise of this book -- not just about a night circus, but a dangerous game that's played within its imaginative, endless tents -- and the writing reflects the magical, fantastical tone. At times heartbreaking, joyful at others, the plot sometimes moves a bit slowly. The jumps in time were confusing, and the introduction of other players (set in the future) even more so, until everything comes together at long last. Apparently this book is also a movie in development, with the producer of the Harry Potter movies in negotiations to lead. While this would make a visually stunning movie, it'll be interesting to see how it will be accomplished...
Great story. The book was easy to read thought parts of it were very difficult... this book is very simply written, and the emotions play a pivotal role throughout. Apparently it's going to be made into a movie in Nov '07, so read it before then if you're into that kind of thing.
Arggggh, I think I'll always hate books that we have to do for English class. Like ALWAYS. Stupid trial... "Tell me about them rabbits, George!" "Well, I like ketchup on my beans." "Well, we ain't got any."
This book is about what can happen when someone who doesn't know the whole story about something makes assumptions. This book had a slow start and a couple good twists. I didn't like the ending much.
depressing, cynical, and misogynistic. However its themes include the importance of the tribe, death, sex, nature of human existence, etc. All stuff I like, wrapped in a science fiction package. Funny too.
