I really liked this story line. It was so very very unique! It was a little hard to get into and understand at first, but it's really good and I can't wait to read the other two. The only problem I had was that he didn't describe a lot of the things in clear detail so it leaves a lot up to the imagination and wondering what the buildings, etc. really look like.
A sexually transmitted disease that causes you to grow a tail or a second mouth on your chest spreads through a high school in the late 70's. Although this is disgusting, if it were real, there'd definitely not be a Teen Mom. Makes me wish for things that aren't.
A stark read, biographic in nature. An inside-out look at the Katrina disaster. So very different from A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. I look forward to reading more Eggers.
