Very good reading couldn't put it down!!!
Cutting for Stone follows the life of Marion and Shiva, twins born to a missionary doctor and a nun working at a hospital in Ethiopia. Their mother, Sister Mary Joseph Praise, dies during childbirth. Their father, Dr. Stone, disappears shortly afterwards, traumatized and horrified. Two other doctors working at the hospital adopt the twins and life is pretty good. Marion begins to notice differences between himself and Shiva, which eventually leads to a major betrayal of trust.
It's so much like the stand, which I wasn't a huge fan of - but about 1000% better. I walked away at page 67 vowing that I wouldn't come back. Then I needed something to read. So I came back a day later and I was hooked. It's like the stand, no doubt - but something sparks differently. Once shit started going wrong I was interested - it's one you HAVE to give at least 100 pages to before giving it up.
