I've always avoided the Ultimate line because it just seemed fake. I know that the original wold is made up as well, but its the X-Men, only its not the X-Men. I undestand the desire to pretend that a lot of the clones, future incarnations, and false-deaths hadn't happened, but you can't just go and ignore it all; it sort of strikes me as professional, Marvel sponsored fan-fic. I bought this volume, however, because Vaughan wrote it. It was definately good and had his trade-mark witty dialogue, but I just couldn't get past that it was an Ultimate book.
This book was awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome, AEWESOME!!! The Power of Three is by far the best segment of the Warriors series so far, and "Sunrise" was an excellent finish! I won't mantion any spoilers in this review in case there are those of you who haven't read this book yet. However, I will say that it is full of action, oh-so-juicy scandals, and some shocking plot twists the reader won't see coming at all! A few of the loose ends from the end of "Long Shadows" are tied up while others are left dangling as a lead-in to the next segment. Bring on the next book! I am HOOKED!
