This is a difficult read, but well worth the effort. Wittgenstein attempts to resolve philosophical problems by defining the extent to which language is an accurate reflection of reality. By far one of the most coherent and interesting works I've ever read.
I couldn't put this down. Read it from cover to cover.. even all the other crap that I usually ignore (I went back after I read the book) i.e. that the author likes long walks on the beach, has a dog named Bubbles, etc. As I was reading... I thought it was an autobiography and translated by some white guy named Arthur Golden (I would like to note at this time that the book I read was a hardcover and had some Japanese writing on top. Additionally, as previously mentioned above I usually skip a lot of “unnecessary” pages). Imagine my surprise when I found out it was a fictional character AND written by a non-Japanese person AND a man. Nice job Mr. Golden. Nice job.
not as good as the first, but a great set up for number 3
This is the first one of her books, and it's charming and I liked the way the game became real life and Alleyn began to grow as a detective.
ok, the first chapter is awesome. You really get sucked in. I found that it dragged for a while after that, but then it got really good again. This shit is CRAZY. you have to read this. Blindness is contagious, and the government is practically imprisoning people, complete madness!! i need to pick up the sequal seeing.
Argues for a more complex understanding of gender and sexuality in Indian culture.
