Having read this collection of essays certainly gives me an appreciation of how often Sayers is quoted in Christian circles. I found the quality of the essays to be rather variable, though. Sayers is at her best when she is talking about the importance of dogma and applying it to our personal lives. When she tries to delve into more social, and especially economic, matters, she is much less strong, and delivers a lot of pleasant-sounding nonsense and false dichotomies. (Oh, she's going to give me grief in heaven for that sentence.) Recommended, though.
