Gerçekten, bu sadece hızlı ve basit bir hikayeydi. Duncan'ın Konfederasyonu kadar panaj değil. Gerçi bir genç için harika bir yazı.

Just a John Irving fan. Great imagination and insights into people

Theodore Roosevelt was not only the namesake of the Teddy Bear, but also a capable politician and leader. His respectful treatment of others was inspiring. His attention to "a still small voice" guiding him to not run for reelection is commendable. I would recommend this book despite the fact that it focuses solely on his years as president. He also deliberately pushed to preserve large portions of the United States' parks and land beauties.

I don't like being forced to read books, but I am very happy that this book is in the 10th grade curriculum. Last year I did a very in-depth report on the Holocaust, and this book reflects what occured not through a historian's outlook but by somebody that experienced it. It's hard to believe the atrocity's Elie Wiesel went through, and that he lived through them all. This story was amazing, and once I started I could not finish it. Everybody should read this story at least once, because I believe everyone needs to understand the inhumanity that lies in the human soul.

This is an inspiring fable. I think it holds a message for almost anyone at some point in their life. Definitely struck a chord with me at 25.

interesting look at the life of someone who did so much for Civil Rights, but received little credit. I enjoyed the examination of grass roots vs. leader-led action.

I don’t know if it’s because I have read this so many times before, or if it is the quality of the writing (or maybe both), but it feels so effortless to read this book. Almost as if the words are floating off the page directly into my head. It’s so easy to picture everything, and that’s not just because of the on-screen versions that have planted imagery there. Even after all this time I am still finding new things out, though. For instance, either I never really noticed, or I had forgotten, but Mr Wonka has a goatee! Who knew? And the boat they travel down the chocolate river on is a pink sweet. I knew it was a hollowed out boiled sweet but I’d forgotten it was bright pink. I love the story, I love the imagination that has gone into it, and I love all the amazing tastes and ideas that it crams into it. For a relatively short book, there is a lot to take in and savour. I could read this over and over again and never get bored.
