(4.0) Classic stuff I remember being read some or all of this in elementary school. I think we may have skipped over the more sci-fi-y stuff as that was far less familiar to me, though I'm starting to see a definite trend toward: * book-burning (was this before Fahrenheit 451?) * atomic war, destruction of Earth etc. * telepathy * people coping with loved ones traveling into space by assuming they're dead I'm sure there are others but it's getting late. Definitely enjoyed reading this, found it better than The Martian Chronicles. One really cool thing I uncovered by chance: I had like story in The Chronicles about blacks leaving the planet to colonize Mars, but really wanted to see where Bradbury thought that storyline led. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it did continue, not in The Chronicles, but here in The Illustrated Man. DIdn't realize he had such an optimistic streak (well, for humanity if not for Planet Earth ;) )
