Well, I don't usually read books about vampires, but the creatures in this book aren't typical vampires. This book is NOTHING like "Twilight". The book is really an "end of the world", "government gone amuck", scary South American bats books. The writer is talented, and I admit I couldn't put this VERY LONG book down. Not my typical 4 star book. The ending was a shock, but I'm hoping there is a seque.
