If the plot from the Island was reconfigured to be about British clones, written in true Japemo style (that's Japanese Emo if you aren't as smart as me). What does it mean to be human? This book won't tell you but it will make your kindeys hurt with shadow pain (SPOILER: clones have succulent organs).
** spoiler alert ** I haven't read a patterson in a while, but I had a 14 hour road trip and was given this audiobook to pass the time. The book was a pretty generic Cross, I didn't find much of it new and exciting. Depraved murderer? check. New devoted girlfriend, check. Love for the kids he never gets to see? check. Something happens to Nana that shakes the Cross family to its core? check. One of my main issues with this book was that they didn't even try to get you to guess who the actual murderer was. He was so far removed from the story that you would have never figured it would be him. Which sucks. When I read a murder mystery I like to be able to guess who it is, not just have a random ah-ha moment. PS: When is Nana going to die? It just needs to hurry up and happen. this book was just ok, at least it made the drive a little less monotonous.
