Chris St. James is the smart, beautiful, sassy new tennis coach who crosses paths with Brett Wallace, the most-likely smart, hunky, laidback football coach on her first day at a new school. Both Chris and Brett are former professional athletes in their respective sports who have retired and become high school coaches and teachers. Thanks to some male chauvinism they don’t get off to the best start, and Chris isn’t exactly a fan of pro athletes, but eventually they realize that there is some real chemistry between them. Plus, Brett’s mom is everything that Chris has always wanted. After some bumps and bruises they get things figured out and find their HEA. The story is well-written and well-paced, with a great supporting cast and well-developed characters. Overall a great summer read, with some aww-shucks moments that make me want to become a high school teacher!
