I will admit I only made it through half of this book-the beginning was incredibly interesting and Michener has definitely done his research. He weaves an intricate tale of the development of modern Israel while simultaneously describing its evolution. Eventually, however, the formula becomes repetitive and I leave it to someone more patient than I to see it through to the bitter end!
Loved this book! And love Janet Lambert's books!

Oh Huck Finn! He's so delightful. I think I liked The Adventures of Tom Sawyer better, but I haven't read that one in so long I can't really compare. Mark Twain is one of the few "classic" writers that I like - his humor is wonderful, his satire is perfect, and I think that shows in this book.
