Mind blowing. Elegant. Absorbing. Dynamite. Historic. Surreal. Gripping. Meditative. Cool. Clean. Imaginative. Fantastic.
This sci-fi series by sci-fi author turned religion founder L. Ron Hubbard starts out okay, but kind of gets weird as the books pile up. The first couple work pretty well as pulp sci-fi mixed with satire, but the whole thing starts deteriorating around books five or six. I actually never finished the series, stopping at book seven (out of ten). Recommended? Only the first few in the series, I would say (and no, I'm not a Scientologist). After that, things start getting pretty bizarre and tedious, which is an odd combo and stopped me reading before I could find out what happened to Jet Heller.
