I think that rash is a great book because of all of the laws. And all of the fights that Bo Marston gets into. I really like the football parts of this book. My favorite character is Bo because he is really cool and I think he would be pretty cool to hang out with. I think that most of the rules in this book are pretty stupid. All of the sports are band because they think they are too rough. I really hope that Pete Hautman should make another book like rash because I think that rash is one of the best books I have ever read. And I think that you should read it to.
I always have a difficult time explaining why I liked this book. Philosophically, I agree with Ayn Rand on one point: capitalism is a better system than communism. I differ with her on her absolute insistance that capatalism govern every aspect of human existence. That said, the plot of this book pulled me in and kept a fairly good pace throughout. I found this to be true even with the myriad multi-page diatribes against any idea with which Ayn Rand disagrees. She somehow makes these diatribes fit into the plot in logical places. Also, her constant drumbeat allows the reader to crystalize his or her own agreements or disagreements with Ayn Rand's opinions.
