i love this book sooooo much!
I have had to restart this book multiple times since I've owner it. The beginning is a little slow but it does pick up pace. Once I am reading it I don't want to put the book down, but when I do put it down (you know, to eat or something important like that) nothing about it catches me enough to want to pick it up again immediately, which is why I still haven't finished it. I think this is a good book for someone who has a set reading time set aside everyday, or someone who can sit down for hours on end uninterrupted, or someone who just doesn't have the attention span of a gnat. It's an interesting read while you're reading it, it just doesn't have enough ummph to draw you back.
In this sequel to the Heroes of Glorietta Pass, hero Clay Ashworth is once again pulled back into the Civil War by President Lincoln--this time East of the Mississippi. This book takes you to the days leading up to the battle of Vicksburg, however, I felt it was a little difficult to really follow where you were at geographically (needed a map). The book ended a little abrubtly and too happily--after all, this was the Civil War.
