I read this first when I was 15 or so, and at the time I thought it was a good first half and a terrible conclusion. Having just re-read it I can state with confidence that there are a lot of things I like in the first half and I lost interest on precisely page 532 of 1116.
I know I'm supposed to love this book. It's a fast odd weird read. Society dictates you just go on and on about how you much love this book, for me it was fast, enjoyable, but not the over the top experience I know it's supposed to be.
