I read the other four books in this... they're really not that great, but when there's vampires, I will read. =) UPDATE: So, as stated before, these books really aren't that good. Before I discovered the wonders of Twilight or Vampire Academy (GOOD vampire books), I was content to read this series because I didn't know any better. Raven is a weak main character (by the way, did you know she was goth? Because if not, it will be mentioned every third page) and Alexander is a lame "dreamy vampire" boyfriend. (Give me Edward or Dmitri, please!) There is practically no character development - besides the fact that she is goth, I feel like I know nothing more about Raven than I did the very first book. Granted, I read books 1 -4 well over a year ago, so I had to struggle to remember things as it was. Just what I need in a relaxing book - a struggle to remember a plot. (end sarcasm.) So, it gets 2 stars because it's still about vampires, which is my favorite subject to read about. And will I read the 6th book? Of course I will. I can't not finish a series.

I watched the movie before reading the book and I was tempted not to read the book anymore since I was disappointed in the movie but since I had bought it already, I started reading it and I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading the sequel.
