On the one side, Christopher Moore really did a good job at writing a fun, witty novel on a romance surviving through various obstacles (i.e. being a vampire, being hunted, et cetera). On the other side, besides the wit and charm, Moore wrote relating to actual problems in relationships (though through slightly altered situations). The only issues I had with the book were with a feeling throughout that the story was much more depressing than intended and an ending that seemed slightly grabbed through thin air (though this situation has been absolved through the sequel to Bloodsucking Fiends, called You Suck!). Overall, a generally fun work of fiction with a couple lapses of serious moments.
