Even a badly written "Nazis win the war" alternate history is intrinsically interesting. This book while not badly written isn't particularly compelling, devolving into a race against time thriller rather than providing any particular insight. Given the setting's potential it is guilty of myopia and the "Nazi = bad, hero = good" vibe is not particularly compelling. 'Fatherland' or 'The Man in the High Castle' class it ain't. Not even quite up to 'SS-GB'. But worth a read nevertheless if you like that kind of thing.
I recommend this book. It was fairly quick reading and most enjoyable. The last few chapters seem rather an abrupt change of pace from the earlier chapters but I still found that I was quite entertained and it was great reading.
an ancient evel is awakened.... need I say more?
