A little mature but still really really good. Really keeps your attention. Only downfall- to many unecessary f bombs. Could have done without that but it was still really really good.
Yes, it's by Craig Ferguson, the late night tv talk show host, and it's really, really well written! No kidding. It's irreverently funny, and raunchy, yet at the same time very thoughtful and spiritual. It also has one of the most beautiful, haunting, love scenes that I've ever read! It's definately worth reading.
An astonishingly bad book that attempts to be all things to fans of Bret Easton Ellis and Chuck Palahniuk, and fails miserably on both accounts. She apes Chuck's style in an attempt to illustrate the travails of the 'Hello Kitties' of the world and fails to illuminate the reader about the culture at all. She also drops names and cultural references in the manner of Ellis, but it all comes across as needless prattle rather than Bret's sly social commentary. Choi may have gotten out of law to write novels, but one ends up wishing she had become the character in her book and gotten caught and punished for her crimes.
