Loved it...who knew I would love a Civil War book.

First off, this is a big book. About 1000 pages. That was daughting to me, since I figured I would lose interest well before the 1000 pages were complete. But I have to say, I was surprised that it kept my interest the whole way through. The story wasn't fast-paced or super exciting, but I liked it. I will consider reading the follow-up book by this author, but I need a break from old school England for awhile. If you have the time and patience, its a good read.

I think... I honestly felt that I was losing part of my soul reading this. Maybe more than that. I was in pretty deep... When I finished the volume, I wanted to say, "I did this/saw this/etc.", rather than "Keichi did...". Without spoiling anything, feeling that way through all that hurt. So. The plot thickens. Water to glue in one, long, agonizing volume. My original 'this is the most normal of the arcs' idea was trampled on pretty quickly. Along with fifty thousand other theories, I wondered about some of this. But dang, I still don't know what's going on. Art never failed. Cute and scary, both in turn. Rating: More violence. Some shocking moments and disturbing images. Also, the obvious recurring theme of demons.
