I watched all this happen from Canada. I knew something was wrong when every other commercial on CNN was for refinance loans. As Fall 2008 approached, Planet Money; an NPR podcast attempted to break the mess down into understandable chunks.So it was with this grounding in the topic that I read The Big Short, and it was so amazing to see the stories behind the scenes. Amazing book, unfortunate circumstances... I don't think we've seen the end yet.
A very suprising read for me- wasn't expecting to get so involved in the story. The characters each get a voice in the telling the story, it was extremely on-target with relation to mother-daughter-sister relationships.
interesting insights from yogananda's world view of cosmic consciousness and hinduism with parallels to the bhagavad gita clearly demonstrated and outlined in the text.
In the second book, he is relocated for his safety to a school with a new identity. These books were… okay. I almost think the subject matter would have been more interesting in a format that allowed more depth than a children’s book.
