I like the world that Goodkind created, the characters are interesting and you can really get lost in the story. Book 1 left me wanting more. The other books up until book 5 and this one left something to be desired. I was beginning to tire of the series but this one pushed me on to the others. Maybe it was the Ayn Rand references and style that did it for me. That whole 'one man against the corrupt ideals of an entire society' gets me every time.
Delightful. I didn't expect to like this, it's not the kind of thing I read at all, probably never would have, but it was loaned to me by a friend and I didn't want to give it back without cracking the cover. A very fun, light read.
