great read! it supplies a lot of information in a witty intelligent read. the author supplies great stories to further her point that come from real people and the book is told from a perspective that anyone can relate to, latina or not.
I enjoyed the facts from the encyclopedia, but I just couldn't get into the author's personal story. Something about his tone just annoyed me. (This could be because the last book I read was East of Eden, which is one of the loveliest books I've ever read, and the last funny book I read was Let's Pretend This Never Happened, which made me laugh harder than any book in ages. Jacobs was up against some tough competition.) I've heard that Living Biblically is better, so I'm abandoning this book and trying the other. If I can't get into that book, I think Jacobs just isn't for me.
