I really enjoyed this book and found Mr. Gregory to be someone of character. He does not paint himself wholly in the positive and there were moments when I questioned his choices with cocked eyebrow. But undeniably this man lived, wholly. I couldn't help but think that it would be interesting to read his wife's story. Mr Gregory also worked for the rights of women, was a vegan and a raw foodist refusing traditional treatment for cancer. I'll be reading more works by Mr.Gregory. He's pretty cool.

I absolutely couldn't wait to begin this book. It definitely kept me flipping pages to find out what was going to happen between the Billings Girls and everyone else who was relevant.

I first read Jane Eyre in high school, and still pick it up from time-to-time to read. The lyrical language might be difficult for some to understand, as is true with the French phrases spoken by young Adele, but the story itself is one to be deeply treasured. I sympathize with Jane in her state of misery, and longing-hope for a brighter future as she leaves the boarding school she grew up in to be a governess for wealthy Mr. Rochester. It's a story of love and patience, with many twists and turns before the characters are allowed to freely express their feelings for one another.
