A most interesting read. I first read this book as a secondary school student, at about 15. I would read and re-read this book and its related "sequels" later over the years. Tremendous in its scope and beauty, I have never failed to be amazed at the wonderful worlds that were depicted. Most of all, a future which contains elements of technology and magic, sometimes inseparable.. Perhaps the most interesting is the study of people put up in this series, about how interesting humans are - our double-dealing, dangerous, nobleness, curiousity and sheer lust.
