Found it sitting on the shelf - I think Jess read it for a class. It's written in a comic book style, so we'll see how long I can stick with it. Finished it in one day. It's a gripping memoir (which I never knew) of a woman growing up in Iran before the Gulf War. Not gripping because of its gorry war scenes, but more because it showed the emotion behind the war. It was written in a comic book style as I mentioned, but I found myself ignoring all of the pictures. Probably not the way it was intended to be read .... but it made for a really quick read. I'd recommend this before you pick up the movie which came out a couple of years ago.
minor hamsun novella. not as great as his prime works, but still a worthwhile and pleasurable read.
