It was a decent read. Some of the stories were excellent, but as a whole, it does not compare to Eggers' other books. If you haven't read Eggers before, don't start with HWAH...but if you've gotten through everything else he's written and are still hungry for more, give this one a shot.
I first became familiar with this book when it was a fantastic series in British television that someone was dumb enough to cancel. The thing that I love most about this series is that sarcastic British wit which makes me prefer British television to American...Brits have sarcasm down pat like no other and Cath Staincliffe is no exception...Gotta love it! I can't wait to continue this series!
This 2nd Harry Potter book is my least favorite in the 7 book series but well worth reading in order to read the whole story, and, as with all these books, there’s some crucial information given that is necessary to understanding this tale. Important message about our choices being more important than our given abilities; I did love that part. If this hadn't been part of the 7 book series, I would not have given it 5 stars.
It's hard to like a book completely when you start to dislike the main character so much. I found myself wanting to yell "get over it!" out loud on several different occasions. The ending redeemed the book somewhat, despite it being rushed. It felt like the author couldn't wait to be finished with the book too.
