** spoiler alert ** what an engrossing book! I couldn't put it down, nor did I want to! I'm not sure how many books are in the series, but this one left me so drained it may be a while before I start another one...I know there's a show, as well, I'm not sure if I would watch it, it's pretty down-to-earth and rather violence prone...basically, a woman, Claire, is in Scotland after WWII, with her husband; they go to see a mini stone-henge and she ends up touching one of the stones and travelling back in time 200 years. She meets a man that looks almost exactly like her beloved Frank but who turns out to be a total douche bag ancestor. She ends up saving a Scotsman's life and things just go crazy-nuts from there. Every time you think someone is going to die...well, not everyone that should does, I will say that.
