One of my all time favorites. At the young age of seventeen, Shelley crafted this masterpiece. Impressive! I found myself lost in the imagination of the story and didn't give much thought to the layers of content until after I finished reading. As a student of psychology, I found the richness of her characters accurately captured the complexity of the human condition. Behind every evil person there is a story and once that story is revealed we feel compassion for their journey.
