This book has interesting ideas that can be applied to almost every situation you encounter. I'm interested in trying to apply some of the concepts in my work with different teams at my school in the fall. Maybe I'll have more feedback after I see how easy it is to apply the information presented. Overall, a decent but not great book.
Baldacci weaves a good tale. This is the third one in the camel series that I have read (not reading them in order).
I found that this is a book that I found to be very exciting. After finishing this book I immediately went to the second.
Okay, I'm not quite halfway on this book, but it's been SOOOO long since I read something I enjoyed so much. It's a debut, stunningly accomplished, that makes me think of CATCH 22 in sensibilities and absurdist, yet humanly poignant characters. I've actually laughed out loud here and there. Please, please, please, let this deliver all the way to the end. I almost have to write a mash note to this guy, who, ulp, was born the year I graduated from college. This was a National Book Award Finalist, among other honors, so I know I'm not crazy to love it so much, but still...he makes it look so easy. A little floundering in the middle, but a solid, worthy ending.
alsdfkj this is another book that is supposed to be marvelous but just annoyed me. The characters bothered me, the writing bothered me. Basically, I didn't think it lived up to the hype.
