I wasn't sure about the book at first. It has a lot to do with the music industry, specifically older punk bands, none of which I knew. Also I don't tend to like books that take place in current times especially where characters communicate through texting. Also as I read I realized that each chapter was from a different characters perspective. Some reiviews I have read (after finishing) state that this book is really a book of interrelated stories. I disagree. There is also an entire chapter from a teen perspective done entirely in powerpoint slides. OK so after all this, what did I think? After I got into it I really liked it. For some reason the powerpoint chapter reminded me of The Book Thief. The last chapter is especially good. And I think that the theme that weaves through the chapters unifies the story. I would reccomend this book.
