Oh, where to begin. I'd probably give this 1.5. I wanted to like this book. I thought it had a good premise, basically a more depressing Groundhog Day with teens. The author did capture the voice well (thus the extra half star). That may be part of the problem here though because frankly, I didn't like the main character very much and I especially didn't like her friends -- ESPECIALLY Lindsay. As far as I'm concerned, the only character I liked was Kent. (view spoiler) I forced myself to push through and finish this book based on the many reviews on Goodreads saying that the end made up for the rest of the book, and I certainly don't feel that way. It was too little, too late. There was so much underage drinking, drinking and driving, sexual content, etc for teens that it seemed to glorify such, and by the end of the book it seemed there were few consequences for their actions and little learned from the experience. The main character(s) was self-absorbed and selfish for the majority of the book, pretty much until the last day. It didn't come off to me that she wanted to be good person because she should, but rather she wanted to be a good person to get out of the rut she was in. I guess I was looking for a lot more accountability for their actions, more restitution, and for the rights reasons. Instead I felt the good deeds were hollow, and possibly more unfulfilled than when I started.

" Green Eggs and Ham" is probably one of the most popular Dr. Seuss books, and one of my absolute favorites! I can still remember reading this book for the first time in kindergarten and making the famous green eggs and ham to go right along with it. I think this is a great book for rhyming, where you can definitely break down the different families. I also love this book for it's never-ending creativity! I would recommend this book for children in kindergarten through second grade.
