Just finished this book and found it fascinating. So much to learn about other cultures in this world. I was grateful for this peak into the Afhganistan and Pakistan cultures through the eyes of Greg Mortenson. Amazed at his pluck and determination to just keep going back as he'd scrape together enough money for another school. Made me wonder what makes people like this tick - why are some people so driven with unique casues like this one he took upon himself? Interesting too to watch the development of a charitable organization take shape and grow over time. This book made me grateful for the opportunities and freedoms we Americans have in so many areas that we take completely for granted every day. Wonderful book - I highly reccomend it to anyone!
