This is the book the musical Wicked is based on. I read it because I heard that and I had read Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister. The book is long and involved. It can get a bit muddly with minutia. I did not find it an easy read and after awhile I had to take a break from it. Overall it is enjoyable but rather difficult to get through due to the slow pace.
Some of Vonnegut's early short fiction. It's more conventional and, in the foreword, Eggers calls them mousetrap stories. Enjoyable read and interesting to see Vonnegut's deft use of language in more conventional stories.
