I love reading the books that Chase reads, so we can have a discussion. I really liked this first book in the series. Can't wait to read on and see how things unfold.
This is a masterfully crafted re-telling of the Beauty & Beast fairytale. I loved this book ... except for the ending. No, the conclusion itself was wonderful. Rather, it was that the climax was practically the last page. Thank goodness for the Epilogue. But then again, that is one of the most useful manners of imploying an epilogue. The writer can jump ahead, wrap things up quickly and effectively, and 'review' the plotted events. I only wish it had been longer.
