This is the choice of my bookclub at work, I've read about half of it and was ready to give it up, but the others thought it was worth persevering with, so I am going to give it another go. I rarely give up on a book. ETA - Well Lee, I'm afraid I didn't enjoy this very much at all, I plodded through it, uninterested in the characters, found the protagonists rather odd and couldn't relate to them at all. The writing was undoubtably good, but not very engaging. I was very disappointed as I remember really enjoying 100 Years of Solitude which I read years ago in college. I read The Help at the same time and almost couldn't put it down. What did you think of LitToC?
