This one is on repeat at home. My daughter just loves when I read it to her!
I've been thinking about this book a lot lately. I love it and everything it represents, especially that my younger self was fascinated and curious about all of the great illustrations, but my current self STILL wants to know why the pumpkin was glowing, how the house could blast off, and what was under the rug. The fact that I could picture in full detail at least 6 of the 14 illustrations, at least 18 years after I read this book, says a lot about the quality of Van Allsburg's art and imagination.
