Everyone likes a story about love at first sight. I'll admit they are a weakness for me since I've experienced it. In Brian's Wish, we see it happen in a different way. This time it's between a man and a child. Eleven-year old Brian has a tumor that is malignant and has destroyed his eyesight. Brian is aware that he is dying. His wish is to meet Charles Vos, the CEO of a Make-A-Wish Foundation. Mr. Vos has never had a request like this and he intends to honor it and goes to the hospital to meet Brian. What transpires is the basis for this beautiful story by G. M. Frazier. It probably should be considered a novella since it's not long, but it's very rewarding.
