I read MAUS in college and it's been staring at me from my bookshelf for months, begging to be re-read. Finished this first volume today. It's just a wonderful book. I was kicking myself for not taking the second volume with me today when I finished the first!
I enjoyed reading about someone who looks like me. Being a plus size person feels very isolated, which is crazy, since most of us are overweight. So reading about someone who was facing the same fears and insecurities was very comforting. And my size 2 best friend enjoyed the book too.
