I cannot remember what inspired me to put this on my list of books to read, but I had been looking for it in the library for ages. Finally, I put it on hold and read it. After reading it, I am not sure I should have been so committed to reading it. This was a nice, quiet little book about a young woman, Cassandra, and her family and their quest to earn some money. They are not greedy people, just miserably poor. Lucky for them, they live in a castle, complete with moat and tower. Cassandra tells the story of her experience of moving to the castle, meeting the owners, falling in love, and inspiring her father. A nice little story, nothing great, but I did enjoy reading it.
Every person should have a copy of this book. It's great, it's simple, it's dreamy, and it's sad.
