Brian Martinez's post-apocalypse "The Mountain and the City," is about a person in a suit and gas mask that lives in a trailer kept sealed with silver tape;trying to survive. It was a little difficult at first to get inside the mind of the person, but as the story moved and grew so did the character in the suit. I became so interested in this short story that I had to buy the second installment and am now waiting impatiently for the third in the series.
Anne Morrow Lindbergh has been my interest, so I picked this up to get better acquainted with her husband. I was not disappointed. The biography is an easy read and gives a seemingly unbiased account of Charles A. Lindbergh. (He certainly wasn't everyone's American hero.) I appreciate the vast amount of content given to the kidnapping and murder of Charlie and the investigation and trial that followed. I always wondered. . . Charles Lindbergh? New York to Paris, 1927? - why the big deal? Now I know. Thank you Scott Berg for depicting the multi-faceted character and characteristics of CAL. Did I miss it, or was there no mention of his children by women other than his wife?
