Alex Berenson is the best new writer of spy fiction I've run into. This book starts the John Wells series. Wells is an undercover US agent infiltrating, or trying to, Al Qaeda. He ends up alone against the world as usual for such a book. Interesting how the Islamic material is worked in without dumping on Islam. I'll read anything he writes.
Oh Saints!! Love Love LOVED this book!! Why did it take me so long to read this.... Song of Oestend was amazing had me on the edge of my chair never wanting to stop reading! I loved Aren and Deacon together. I loved the ghost story Was so different and so scary i was was yelling dont open the door dont go out there all the time I even loved the historical/alternate reality *gasp* I know right?? who would have thought!! Marie Sexton is just fabulous drawing you into this world of Cowboys at the BarChi ranch in Oestend.. Every one has to try this book so damn good!! I loved Aren and Deacon! (view spoiler) You know what i loved the most??? First they were friends, then they became lovers. My fave kind. All the characters were so well developed..I loved Frances and i hope to read more about him and Simon... Olsa the old gal, is totally awesome she is blind and knows all LOVE it!! Just every thing was perfect from the scary haunted house to the damn Whore Daisy... I cant explain any more how much this book rocked my world!!
