2-2.5 stars Fun book... but I didn't enjoy it as much as "Twenties Girl" or "Shopaholic". I was looking for more of a connection between the main character's memory loss and the events that took place 3 years ago -- the last time that she remembers. Clearly, there's a connection. BUT, that said, it's a read-in-one-sitting type of book. It sucks you into the story and makes you wonder, along with the main character, what the heck happened and how she got to where she is. The ending didn't feel quite as satisfying to me, nor did the characters feel quite as developed. But if you enjoy Sophie Kinsella, you'll probably enjoy this book, too.

This is Wally Lamb's first book... a fictional, first-person narrative account of one woman's life that is both hilarious and touching. I can't believe that this is a fictional account written by a man- it's really amazing. Wally Lamb does an incredible job of pulling you in and making understand and feel with the character. I couldn't put it down... one of those books where even when I am not reading it, I am thinking about the character and story and wondering how things are going to unfold. (also, if you've read Wally Lamb's other work, know that while She's Come Undone is equally impressive, it is very very different.)

After having read 'Rooms' by Rubart, I thought I'd try another one of his books. The best way to describe this book is 'The National Treasure' of Christianity. It would make a good movie. Although Hollywood would certainly take out the spiritual aspect. I found 'Book of Days' an intriguing mystery, definitely different from his first one. Although it still has that 'mystical' aspect, at least enough not to be too far out there. What I appreciate most from Rubart's writing is how well he describes feelings and emotional experiences. I love his description of what it could be like to be in the presence of God.
