Fabulous and painfully honest. This woman knows how to write. I could not put this book down because I got completely engrossed in the world of this young anorectic. She has helped so many people by sharing her experiences not by being touchy-feely but by being honest about what it does to you and to those around you.

Die Spuren zeigen in verschiedene Richtungen, das Ende ist deshalb doch überraschend. Der 3. Band der Autorin um die Kriminalinspektorin Irene Huss wirkt etwas konstruiert, die Versatzstücke wurde allerdings zu einem ordentlichen, dem heutigen Geschmack entsprechenden Krimi zusammen gesteckt. Das „Team“ besteht aus den „üblichen“ Verdächtigen und die Fährten sind ausreichend verwickelt. Der Schluß entspricht nicht ganz den Erwartungen, ist aber akzeptabel. Für Freunde der skandinavischen, hier besonders der schwedischen Heimatkrimis, durchaus lesenswert, das „Lokalkolorit“, obwohl nicht geographisch exakt beschrieben, dürfte hier den richtigen Hintergrund liefern. Es ist schlicht eine Liebhaberreihe."
Yeah! I finally finished this long of a book :) I'm not regretting it though, because I really like it! I had read the first two books of the Mortal Instruments about two years ago, but I'm glad that I had very little problem in understanding the third book (of course, with the help of my friends and the summary in the internet). I was brought back to the world of Shadowhunters, and I was reminded again of how the characters in the book are really cool (especially Jace and Simon). I think that the plot was well-thought out. I was really taken into the world of Mortal Instruments, and almost all of the chapters here are exciting, especially the fight scenes. More shocking truths were revealed too, and I think that Cassandra Clare made them brilliantly. There's one thing that I don't like about her writing style though: It had too much description on them. I think deleting some lines (about one simple thing/ place, etc.) won't affect what she's trying to say. It sometimes get tiring, and affects my concentration on what was happening. Well, that's all. But as I've said, overall, I really liked it.
