This book is really, really funny and it sort of like a sequel of 11 Birthdays. I think this girl Rory is trying to move too fast, but realizes this in the end. Everyone here is connected and I think this book has a ton of heart.
Rachel Morgan is a white witch working for Inderland Security an organization that is specialized to find non-human criminals. After differences with her boss she leaves the organization together with Ivy an alive vampire and Jenks a pixie. Their new home is an old church where they all live together and have some difficulties to adjust to each other´s habits and quirks. When Rachel´s former boss sends out a killing commando after her there´s only one way to save her skin – she has to convict Trent Kalamack a notorious villain as a drug dealer. But Trent of course has other plans… Rachel is stubborn, hot-headed, doesn´t always think before she acts and more than once depends on the help of her friends. No super-hero then… It´s also humorous written what is something I love, funny situations, cheeky pixies, action, sex (well, not so much) and crime in a paranormal world. I enjoyed reading it although I have to admit Rachel annoyed me from time to time with her idiotic decisions… but a perfect main character what fun would that be?
