Her gün aynıydı. Her yıl aynıydı.

This is definitely a contender for best book of the year for me. But you have to be a total tech-geek to even follow the story. If you grew up in the 80s playing Pac-Man, watching War Games and your first computer was a TRS80 or Atari system, this book is for you. First, it's important that you know that this book is about a man (oh, kinda like Steve Jobs of the gaming world) who upon his death announces that there is a prize hidden that will give the finder a ridiculous fortune and keys to the Oasis. The Oasis is a simulated entirely-online world (something like Second Life) that allows users to travel, play, interact with others, and hide from the real world. There are worlds/planets, full games and schools being attended by players all over the world. Players present only their avatars and many are not easy to connect to their real life lives. So, within the Oasis, there exists a hidden virtual Easter egg, that when found will give the finder the rights to run/develop/change the Oasis as they see fit. Oh, and a whole bunch of money, too. Gamers (termed Gunters) have been hunting for the egg for 5 years with very limited luck. There is also a major corporation that wants the rights to own, profit from and restrict the otherwise free Oasis. This story is a race for the prize. The experience is amazing. Kinda like turning the Matrix inside out! What a tribute to the 80s and Generation X!! Action packed and the audio is read by Wil Wheaton...excellent choice!
