Birlikte yazdım. Ben gözden geçiremiyorum.

Bunu neden bitirdiğimi bilmiyorum; Geçmişte Bryson'un bazı kitaplarını sevdim ama bu sadece korkunçtu. Amerikan'daki aşırı kilolu insanların ne zaman yavaşlamaya başladığı hakkındaki yorumları atma konusundaki tutkusu, kitap her yavaşlamaya başladığında gerçekten çok hızlı yaşlandı. Bunu atla.

I actually think I liked the first book in this series a little better than this one. I liked this one well enough however. As with most of Nora Roberts' trilogies, it was the discovery of an interpersonal relationship for a secondary character from the first "Born in" book. Nora Roberts has a predictable plot line to most of her "romance" novels, and this book was no exception.

I didn't HATE this book...I actually quite enjoyed it. I didn't LOVE it either. James Patterson is such a great writer that it flowed with the same strength and enthusiasm I've come to expect from any novel he puts out. However, the book (I felt) lacked a lot of substance. It's mildly entertaining that these 2 normal teens come to find that they have magical powers- but there are many books (a lot of which I've RECENTLY read) that has the same premise, so it wasn't a mindblowing plot. He keeps you entertained from start to finish, I'll give him that- which is why I've gotten the next installment to read "the Gift". I figure I'll give this series a chance. Maybe the first book was just a warmup??....I hope so. Because I personally feel like these books have so much potential. It doesn't have to BE Harry Potter....that'd be plagarism anyway....but I do hope that the next book has a little bit more depth to the plot.

Good. But not as good as Ahab's Wife, if you want to try out this author, start there!
