There are ways in which this book could be more cohesive and flow better in the early stages. But if you can stick it out through the end, the payoff--and how the storylines finally congeal--is a doosy...and the book's sense of institutional and existential sadness is heartbreaking--mainly because in so many ways it rings true. Takes some patience, but worth a read.
really enjoyed, but there were a lot of points i wanted to debate, chaos can be music.
